Fabiana and Jac O. met 15 years ago at the International Ball at the U.S. Naval Academy. He was a young midshipman, preparing to be a Naval Officer, and she was a beautiful au pair from Brazil (she’s still beautiful!). It sounds like a fairytale, and for almost 11 years we’ve been married, living happily ever after. We always talked about adopting. We’re both from large families and wanted a full house. After years of trying naturally and three failed rounds of IUI, we were unable to conceive. While Navy life keeps us from settling down, one thing we’ve settled on is we’re finally ready to pursue adoption. Please join us on our journey by praying for us and our future family, that God’s will would be done and that we would glorify Him always!

Jac O and Fabi, we are so glad to hear you're moving forward with adoption. Praying for your journey and glad to support in this small way. Always remember that there will be ups and downs in the process, but that they will never last forever. We found ourselves excited after turning paperwork in, and then after a lull in activity we would get down about it all. The strange thing was that as we were frustrated or down about it, we were getting closer and closer to the next bit of news that would bring us closer to actually completing the adoption.
