Jalil's Adoption

I cannot even belive we have made it to this point! For the past year and 5 months we have been working with an agency to pursue an International adoption to bring our boy home once and for all! I feel like this is a dream, but our Honduran attorney finally is meeting this Monday to present our case! It feels like a dream! For those of you who are new to our story, Jarison and I began raising Jalil, when he was just 18 months old. We instantly became a family and fell madly in love with this child! We continued to work as Missionaries and lived in Honduras while teaching Bible and English classes for the next few years and immediately began looking into ways that we could adopt him and become a forever family. 

We had originally planned to go through our immigration process as a family, for both my husband, Jarison, as well as Jalil. However, Jarison’s immigration process led us out of the country faster than we had expected. Throughout Jarison’s immigration process, two failed attempts at a Hummanitarian Parole Visa, and now Jalil’s international adoption process, it has been heartwrenching for us to be separated.  We long to be reunited again as a family. 

 Not a day goes by where we don’t miss him with all of our hearts! Jalil longs to be with us just as much as we long to be with him. We speak on the phone daily and he asks when we are going to come and bring him home which breaks my mama heart into a million peices! Although we have been Jalil’s parents for the past 5 years now, our dream is to adopt Jalil and make it legal so that we can remain together as a family forever. We want to spend every day for the rest of our lives showing Jalil that he is so loved, he is cherished, that he is wanted, and that we will never give up on him! 
 

We are so very grateful to be on the home stretch of this adoption, that also means that we have a very large payment of $6,000 due for our last foreign fees and expenses! I know these bills seem huge but our God is bigger and we have faith that He will continue to provide! The total adoption cost is $37,600 and He has provided for us every step of the way so far!
