We honestly believe that adoption has always had a special place in our hearts. We longed to be a mother and father and birth our own babies, but we knew God’s call to care for the widows and orphans (James 1:27) and have always told ourselves that we could do that Lord-willing. God’s will is truly an amazing thing. He doesn’t make us robots and tell us exactly what we are supposed to do in life. There’s an element of freedom to take what we know He’s commanded us to do (the greatest two commands being “love God and love others” Matthew 22:37-40) and play that out in our own lives with the burdens we feel for others. There are many among us in our own communities that need love and encouragment, and we feel the burden to offer that in the way of adoption. We absolutely love parenting our three girls God has gifted us with, and we know we have room for more in our home. Fincancially, this choice to adopt doesn't quite add up on paper, but we've seen God provide before and know He can again! We are so thankful for a loving community surrounding us through this journey with love, prayers, and support.
