Gabe & Kathryn's Adoption

Hello!

If you are reading this page, it probably means you have already cared for and supported us at some point in our journey, and we want to thank you for that. Thank you for taking the time to read about why we are adopting. 

From the beginning of our marriage, we knew we wanted to have children and had talked about adoption
as a potential option down the road. Initially, we thought children would first come biologically, so it was a
surprise when we went through infertility and miscarriages. During these experiences, we began to talk more about adoption as a potential way to grow our family. Thankfully, we had friends who had adopted and were able to see firsthand the joys that came with adoption. The book Adopted for Life was also foundational for us as it helped demonstrate how adoption is an illustration of God’s love and adoption of His children. We believe that family and love are not limited by shared genes, skin color, or cultural background. We believe that God has led us to adopt, and we are very excited to hopefully be able to love and care for children through adoption.

One of the largest barriers towards adoption is the financial cost, and we would be humbled if you felt led to support us financially. Whether or not you are able to give, we would value your prayers in a few main areas: 
- For us to trust God in this waiting season and the uncertainties of the adoption process.
- For God to use this experience to make us more like him. 
- For birth moms to have wisdom as they make adoption decisions and ultimately for them to know God's love for them.
