Wood Family Adoption
Taylor and Taylor
Odonnell, TX
Six years ago, we thought we were done growing out family, but God has other plans. After our third daughter was born, we decided we were done. But over time, I came to realize that this was a decision made out of fear, and not faith. The great thing about our God is that he takes our mistakes and works them together to achieve his perfect will. So now my wife and I have surrendered to a new calling God has put on our lives, to adopt children and raise them in a home of faith and love.
My name is Taylor and I am the pastor of First Baptist Church in O'Donnell Texas. My wife Sarah homeschools our three children, Johanna (13), Tabitha (11), and Lydia (6). Last year I interviewed adoptive families for a sermon. Through the course of those conversations, God worked on my own heart. I wanted to adopt! I didn't say anything to my wife at first, but early in 2026, somehow the conversation came up and I was shocked to discover she'd been thinking about it as long as I had. At around the same time we became aware of the Snowflakes embryo adoption program, and our hearts were set—we’d adopt a batch of embryos and give these babies a chance to be brought to term and live a full life.
We know that there are many challenges ahead, and we would like to use AdoptionBridge to share our story and connect with other families. We are trusting in God to provide for all our needs, medical, financial, and relational. Please pray for our family as we begin this new adventure.
