Carlson Crew: China Round Two!

Hi! We are the Carlsons and we are delighted to be adding to our crew.

Our daughter Qing joined our family in 2014 at age 5 and what a blessing she has been!  She is a true ray of sunshine to all who meet her. During her adoption process we became aware of her waiting friend Xin Lei. My heart skipped a beat the first time I saw his picture and I knew God wanted him in our family.  We had the opportunity to meet Xin Lei while in China in 2014 and we are so excited to be heading back this February 2016 to bring him home!

We covet your prayers as Xin Lei leaves his orphanage home of 10 years and transitions into our family. We are so thankful for the Half the Sky nanny training program that produces nurturing caretakers for the many children that wait for their forever families. Xin Lei has been well cared for and loved by his Half the Sky nannies and will no doubt be greatly missed.

We appreciate your support in our call to adoption and special needs children. In addition to our adoption expenses of $30,000, we will have construction costs of $45,000 to add an elevator and modify our home to accommodate the mobility needs of both Qing and Xin Lei's use of wheelchairs and walkers.
