Siler & Amanda Jane
Dear Parent Considering Adoption,
We want to start by thanking you for taking the time to read our profile. We understand that adoption is an unimaginably hard decision, and it takes incredible strength and bravery. Amanda Jane (AJ) was adopted herself, as were several in Siler’s extended family. While we can’t comprehend the weight of the choices you’re facing, we know that whatever your decision, your child will always carry you with them in their heart. Please know you are in our thoughts every day, and that we pray you may feel strength, comfort, and peace during this time.
We met in 2011 and married in 2016. We’re fortunate to share our lives together, and no matter what comes our way, we tackle everything as a team. Whether we’re hiking or grocery shopping, we always find joy in being together. Our home is filled with laughter, shared interests, and loved ones.
We live in Central Florida, close to parks and schools, with a big backyard where our dogs, Athena and Ares, love to play. Our home is perfect for gatherings and celebrations, and we take every opportunity to have our friends and family over. When we’re not hosting, we’re probably traveling – and we’re less than an hour from both Disney and the beach!
Siler is known for his helpful and happy nature. Faith and family are his priorities, and he’s active in our church’s men’s Bible study. When not at work in software sales, he enjoys golf, pickleball, gardening, swimming, and playing with our dogs. He looks forward to teaching our children about Jesus, sports, and the great outdoors.
AJ’s centered her life around helping others, which she’s done through a career in healthcare crisis management. In her free time, she enjoys reading, horseback riding, road trips, and quiet moments with her Bible. And as a child of adoption herself, AJ has been intentional throughout our adoption journey. Her personal story guides our approach to growing our family.
Siler's large family and AJ's "family forest" (her nickname for her adoptive and bio families!) provide a loving support system. We value these strong connections and want our children to experience a similar childhood. We plan to read with our children daily, teach them life skills, and instill values like honesty, loyalty, and bravery. Church and faith are central to us, and we hope to give our children the freedom to explore their own relationship with God.
We’re interested in an open adoption if that’s something our child’s biological family would like. Based on our experiences, we strongly believe in maintaining connections and celebrating the diverse stories that make our child who they are. We are committed to keeping communication open and building a relationship based on trust and respect.
Again, thank you for taking this time to consider us. Our hearts are with you, and we pray for you and your growing baby every day, no matter your decision.
With love and gratitude,
Siler and AJ
