Dear Birth Mother,

Thank you for taking the time to learn about our family as you consider the decision to place your child for adoption. We understand the complexity and anguish of the choice you have in front of you. We hope that through this letter you can learn a little bit about our family and consider us for placement. 

We have been together since 2003 and both grew up in Colorado. We met at the same high school and dated throughout college. We were married in June 2008. We both knew that we wanted to be parents at some point. After about 5 years of infertility, we felt strongly that we were called for adoption. In 2021, we were blessed to adopt our daughter, Maci. She is the highlight of our lives. Maci is wonderful, smart, and funny. She is a typical toddler- full of energy and always on the move. Maci loves going to music class and singing Frozen. We go swimming and the park when it is nice outside. Maci is very independent and smart. She knows so much already and keeps us on our toes with her witty comments. She is excited to welcome a new sibling and playmate to the family. Our family also has two wonderful dogs that are just as important to us. Max is our 13 year old long-haired Dachshund. Beau is the newest edition to our family and is a 1 year old Cockapoo. He is full of energy and a great playmate for Maci, keeping each other busy throughout the day.

We firmly believe in spending time together and prioritizing family time above everything else. Our extended families are nearby so we spend a significant time with them. We want to build a life for our children that is grounded in a strong education and life experiences. We are also dedicated to having our children grow up with strong Christian values. This means attending church on a weekly basis and fostering a relationship with God. Our hope for our children is that they have a purposeful and meaningful life. We are also committed to enriching our children's lives through the activities that they show interest in - from sports to arts and everything in between. We are committed to parent in a gentle and loving manner, which includes never using physical punishment. We strive to provide the best life possible for our children. 

We hope that through this profile you see a glimpse into the future your child could have as part of our family. We are grateful to Maci's birth parents that they chose us to be entrusted with her future. Our hope is that you feel that same about your child as you consider our family for placement. We are committed to raising our children with love, compassion and empathy, all the while, setting them up for a future we can only dream of. Our family is filled with laughter, joy, and love. We wholeheartedly believe in being honest and truthful throughout the adoption process and having an open relationship with our birth families.
