We are very excited to announce that we are adopting!!!
Some of you may know we began talking about adoption early in our dating relationship, we knew by the time we got married that we wanted to have both biological and adopted children. It has simply been a question of timing. Many of you know growing our family biologically has not come easy for us but we know God has a beautiful plan for our family and we are very excited this part of our journey has begun!
We began actively pursuing adoption in April, we conquered mountains of paperwork and our homestudy was completed the second week of July! We received a call from our agency on July 30 about a birth family interested in meeting us, and we brought Eliana Grace home with us on August 3 (Brittany's birthday, best birthday present ever)!
It takes most families about 4-6 months to complete the homestudy process and then wait an average of 2 years for placement. Families often use this wait time to save for the final placement fees. We completed the homestudy in about 3 months and were placed less than a month later which means we need your help!! Our adoption expenses total about $30,000 and we would love for you to partner with us financially! We have already paid over half of the total and the remaining $14,000 is coming due now that Eliana is home with us!
