Our names are Branden and Alexis (Lexi) Robertson, and we want to thank you for taking the time to consider our profile. The idea of providing the chance of a full vibrant life for frozen embryos is a heavy responsibility and we are beyond blessed to be considered. Children are a gift from God and it is our hope and continued prayer to raise up warriors for Christ in a loving, supportive home with the full intent on sending them out prepared and strong in their convictions. We hope as you continue reading our profile and story, you will know our hearts, our desires and our intentions about embryo adoption, family planning and parenting.

Our story is a story of redemption and restoration. Entering into our marriage, we knew the subject of children would be difficult. In fact, it was a speedhump we had to overcome during our pre-marital counseling. Branden had a vasectomy in 2010 after separating from his ex-wife and he had already fathered two children (Brittany and Blake.) At that point, he had not yet fully surrendered his life to Christ and had no intention of marrying again. God has a sense of humor! We met one another at church and the connection was instantaneous. Branden had surrendered to Christ only a week or two prior to our meeting. We were both relatively new Christians and had never been in a Christian relationship before. Our love for Christ and one another began to grow immediately, and we were married approximately 1.5 years after we began dating. As of the writing of this profile, we have celebrated 10.5 amazing years of marriage, but the journey to have children didn’t begin until September 2020.

In September 2020, we traveled to Tucson, Arizona to the International Center for Vasectomy Reversals and completed Branden’s first reversal surgery. After over a year of analysis and hormone panels, the surgery was deemed unsuccessful, so we traveled back for a second attempt in January 2022. Many more months of analysis and medications ensued, but the redo reversal was also deemed unsuccessful. We were absolutely heart broken and began the grieving process.

It wasn’t until a friend of Branden’s casually mentioned Snowflakes during a Discord app chat that we had ever heard of embryo adoption. He passed the information on to me, and we began researching, praying, and discussing. The more we learned, the more our hearts grew for the donor families and the embryos waiting for a chance at life. Our hope and dream is for God to provide us the opportunity to raise a child that we will “turn loose” for Him in the future. Psalm 127:3-5 says, “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.”

We are beyond excited to have started down this pathway to growing our family and appreciate your consideration.

  1. As we continue on our adoption journey, we're sad to communicate that our (Branden's) mother, Anita Louise, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, January 13, 2024. She was not sick, or battling any illness, but passed peacefully in her sleep by God's grace. She was a huge support for our marriage and her excitement and involvement will be sorely missed while we continue in the adoption process. We thank everyone who has donated in her name as she was very excited for us to become parents to one (or two) of God's little blessings!
