In our journey as a family, God has consistently taught us that He is in control and working for our good. We began trying to get pregnant in 2017. After a year of trying, we got the diagnosis of severe infertility. A week later we found out we were pregnant with our first child, Faye. After one miracle baby, we prayed and hoped for another. We quickly got pregnant with our second child, our son Jesse. And then soon after, we got pregnant with our third, our son Josiah.

Halfway through our pregnancy with Josiah, we found out that he had a terminal condition called Bilateral Renal Agenesis. We learned that if he made it to term, he would not live long after birth. God again reminded us that He was in control of our family, and that each of our children was a precious gift to us. We had one sweet hour with Josiah, and then he went to be with our Savior in heaven.

A year after Josiah’s death, we felt God prompting us to grow our family again. After trying to get pregnant for about a year, we felt like the Lord began showing us that the next way He wanted to grow our family was through adoption.

We both are so excited to see how the Lord works in our family and for the precious child that He will bring to us. Each of our children has been such a gift to love and care for, and we know whoever the Lord places in our family will be an incredible gift as well.
