Our names are Luke and Ana Powell of Louisiana. We have been married 7 years and have been trying for 3 years to have a baby. After doing several months of fertility treatments we decided that we didn't want to "force" anything anymore and the Lord would bless us with a child if He desired and when the time was right.

Fast forward more than a year later and we have been feeling a pull to adopt, which led us into looking into fostering to adopt. However, we never pursued it due to a fear of falling in love with a little person who we may not be able to keep in our family. When talking about adopting in the States, it just never felt "right" and so we stopped talking about it for a while and went back to waiting.

Over the last year we have been working on learning Spanish with church friends and very much enjoy their culture. We have recently over the last couple of months decided we would love to adopt from a Central American country, with Honduras, Nicaragua, and Mexico being our countries of focus. We appreciate any and all prayers and advice.

Much love,

Luke and Ana
