Hi! We are Tracie and Patrick. We met in 2004 on Harry Potter message boards (for real). We chatted online and got along so well, Tracie invited Patrick to a Halloween party she was hosting. Patrick travelled from the next state over to see her, and Tracie invited him back. And kept inviting him back. We just clicked. We each found our person, and we fell in love. Tracie has always wanted to adopt, so when we were dating, she told Patrick. He had never considered it before, but he thought about it, and came back and told her, "Yeah, you know what, that sounds like a good idea." And then a few months later, he proposed. Maybe even then, God was preparing us for not being able to have our own biological children. We were married in 2008 and have been on our journey together, as partners and best friends, through everything life as thrown at us.

In 2022, we adopted our first daughter, Skylar. She is the biggest sweetheart. She is smart, energetic, and loves to laugh. She loves babies, and we are excited to give her a sibling.

We are originally from the midwest, but currently live in Los Angeles. We love having so many fun things to do and so many different foods to try. We love taking Skye to the children's museums, water parks, theme parks, beaches, mountains, fairs, aquarium, zoo, and numerous events put on by the city. We also want to raise our children in the big city so that they will be included in a variety of cultures and races. From peers to doctors to role models, whatever race our children are, they will always have people that look like them that they can look up to or relate to.

We both have large fun families (and a church family!) who are very excited for our adoption journey. They all really came together to help and support us with our first adoption, and we are so grateful for them.
