Since we were married, adoption has been something that we have discussed and has been in our hearts. Due to some health issues, we were once told that it would be hard to have kids on our own, but God showed us He was bigger and blessed us with three wonderful kids. Our oldest, a girl and then two boys. We later fostered and loved being a light to the kids and families we met but soon realized we still had a heart to adopt. It went from something my husband and I desired, to something our whole family was passionate about. I remember knowing this was the right path; after reading a letter our 9-year-old wrote to God, praying for his sister and brother who he never met. Asking God if we could keep this one and not have to give it back.

I remember thinking, God if you want us to do this guide our steps, help us choose the right agency, the right country and give us peace that you would provide financially for us to pay for it. I remember talking to Daniel (at Nightlight) and him asking us if we ever considered India and answering him no because honestly it was not a place we ever discussed. After talking to him our daughter comes up to us (not knowing what he said) and says, "I think we should really pray about India."  She then explained with passion about the girls in India and why we should help them. After praying and many more signs of confirmation we decided India was the right choice for us.

Adoption bridge was suggested to us by Nightlight and after looking it up and reading about it, we decided to use it for crowdfunding and to get our story out. We hope and believe this will be a tool God will use to help us in the adoption journey.
