What started as a volunteer experience became an unexpected dream to expand our family. Helping with the Summers Miracle program from Kidsave, we had the opportunity to meet kids who are looking for forever families. That is where we met Maria Camila, a kind and resilient Colombian girl, who is full of hope to find a forever family that will love her forever, and who won our heart, changed our life plans, and inspired us to move forward with her adoption.
There is no doubt that expanding our family with Maria Camila will strengthen all of us at home while fulfilling her greatest dream. Our oldest son, Santiago, jumped for joy when we shared the plans, while Samuel, more reserved and thoughtful, asked for all the details before expressing a true and genuine happiness.
We are nearing the end of a year long journey, involving lots of preparation and documentation. Now we are very close to the end and hope to travel to Colombia (all of us) and bring Maria Camila home soon.
International adoptions incur significant costs. If you are able, we would greatly appreciate your support. Your donation will help us to close these final steps and make this dream real.
