Adopting Siblings - From Colombia to Colorado

We are using AdoptionBridge to gather donations and grants to help with the significant cost of international adoption. All donations are tax deductible.

We began our adoption journey by hosting siblings N (14) and D (12) through Kidsave, a nonprofit that helps older kids in foster care get adopted. N and D traveled from Colombia to stay with us in our home for five weeks in Summer 2023. At the end of their time in Colorado, we were dreading having to say goodbye.

Those five weeks were the most fun and fulfilling weeks of our lives. N is an adorable, smart aleck teenage girl who is an incredible writer and loves to dance. D is a sweet and caring boy who loved practicing English and helping us around the house. Both of them are hilarious sweet kids who have been looking out for each other since entering the child welfare system before they were five.

We chose to adopt through this program because we know there are many wonderful older kids who never have the chance of having a forever family. Before we met each other and got married, we knew we wanted to adopt children. Now after taking care of N and D, we are hoping to bring them home and welcome them into our family.
