We don't know how many of these profiles you've read through at this point so we'll try to be brief, knowing you can find much more info about us the deeper you look.

Here are the highlights:
• We live in Southern California and both of our immediate families live within a 20 minute radius.
• We are church-going Christians and our identities and lifestyles are built around that.
• Our church community is vibrant and supportive and we can't imagine doing life without them.
• We both grew up in the 80s and 90s here in SoCal and got our bachelor's degrees from the same university before we met.
• Jen works as a paralegal, negotiating contracts and I as an engineer, designing things that go in space.

Why adopt?
We knew starting a family would be a challenge since we got married later in life (2022). Even in our singleness, we always loved the idea of adoption, so we consider it a privilege to start our family this way.

What are we like?
We're hard-working but easy-going; sarcastic but genuine, and we take things seriously but not ourselves (especially not with a last name of 'Cowhick'). We're the ones who will tell you if you have something stuck in your teeth. If there's an awkward situation, we'll just embrace it and laugh through it. We love thinking hard and asking tough questions but we also really enjoy not thinking and relaxing with a good show. We're both natural introverts who love our alone time but we also love to volunteer at our church and spend time with our friends and family. We're obnoxiously in love with each other after spending decades in the pressure-cooker of singleness. We hate scary movies and love to watch/mock sappy Hallmark movies. We're very loyal people and we find it very hard to disconnect from whomever or whatever we've committed ourselves to.
