The Southern Family Adoption

Our journey started in 2020 when we got married with a theme of fairies and knights, it was a magical and special night that encapsulated what we believed our love and family to be. After two years we decided the Southern household was to quiet and began trying to have a baby. After three more years of trying and several trips to the doctor and fertility experts, we were forced to face a hard truth- pregnancy was not possible. Nikki cannot get pregnant due to trauma from the past, but that doesn't have to be the end of the story. We each have so much love in our hearts that we just couldn't give up.

   We searched high and low for something that felt right to us and adoption was the clearest answer we had. We did therapy, talked with family and friends and ultimately decided that yes, we would do an adoption journey just like Torin's mom and dad did for his little brother did 20 years ago. So here we are, taking the steps one at a time.

   We are creating this Adoption Bridge profile to get our faces and story out there, to give people the chance to see us and who we are and why this journey is so important to us. This profile might be the best way to let the world know that we are ready and are so excited to add at least one more member to the Southern household.
