Trent and I have talked about wanting to have both biological and adopted children since we started dating, and we're excited to finally be living into our dream of adopting. We really appreciated all the prayers and support we have received from y'all, our village, as we've been foster parents, and are so thankful to have y'all alongside us as we begin this new journey. We so appreciate your prayers and encouragement both for us through this process and for birth mothers/parents considering adoption, and the child who will ultimately join our family.
In typical us fashion, we handle the waiting and challenges of life through prayer, community support, eating chocolate (that's just me) and running! So we thought what better way to actively wait and invite our community into the waiting than to run a half marathon together! Trent and I will be running the Urban Bourbon Half on Oct. 20th along with some friends, and would love to invite those who feel so led to sponsor our running on behalf of our adoption and/our join us in running or walking (or run-walking which I will be doing). You’re welcome to sponsor the race as a whole or per mile though I prefer not pace dependent as I’m kind of slow right now ;). Thank you so much for considering supporting us in this way and being a part of bringing our future baby home. (FYI We're using this site instead of a running specifc fundraiser because they offer matching grants, and that's awesome).
We’re so grateful for all the ways we are supported through this process and above all covet your prayers. It has been a winding road to being parents, and we appreciate y’all walking it beside us.
