Help the Gum Family Grow
Daniel and Kirsten
Englewood, OH
Since 2019, after a mission trip to Honduras, Daniel and Kirsten Gum have been praying that they might one day be blessed with a child through international adoption. The living conditions and children they met in Honduras broke their hearts and left them wanting to help at least one child escape such a life. They saw children living in dirt floor homes with garbage bags for roofs. They also witnessed a crippled toddler, unable to walk or even crawl, lying on a towel while his mother cut coconuts for a living. They couldn't unsee what they witnessed on that trip and they definitely couldn't go back to their normal abundantly blessed lives in the United States, wondering why God had blessed them so, without a burning desire to help at least one child escape this fate. It was then that they felt called to adopt.
Daniel and Kirsten have been saving money for their adoption since 2021. Giving the abundant financial blessings God has given them, they have been able to fund over half of the adoption. But the savings are quickly dwindling and they need more for travel and the last few adoption bills. If you are willing to help Daniel and Kirsten fund their adoption, they would be eternally grateful.
