From India With Love

God's timing is perfect! On July 1st, 2024, our adoption journey took an unexpected yet beautiful turn. After five long years of navigating the ups and downs of our Samoan adoption journey, we faced the heartbreaking decision to withdraw from the program. But in that moment of challenge and heartache, we felt a divine calling to explore our options one last time. Upon learning about a more promising program, we took a leap of faith and made the switch. This shift has reignited our excitement and hope. We are overjoyed to announce that we are now adopting a little boy from India!

“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you” — John 14:18

The road we have traveled for the last five years has been long, difficult, and complicated, but, with our trust and faith in God, His perfect timing, and the vast support system of family and friends, we are now moving forward! We have already completed our application to the adoption agency and our International Home Study. Now, we are building our dossier to send to India and filing our I-800A form with USCIS. Once approved, we eagerly await the referral of a child (approximately 2–6 months). Upon referral, the “Waiting Game” resumes as we complete all the legal paperwork to bring our son home.  This can take an additional 8–10 months! Although daunting, the task we face pales compared to the hardship he would certainly endure without our family’s intervention. We believe every child deserves a loving family and are ready to be that for him.
