Daughter Come Home

The desire to adopt began in my young heart on the mission field at 6 years old telling my older sister I would have one hundred children someday. Every child in my life from that moment on who was either older or younger than me in need of stable love became my friend and received everything I could give. It has been a wonderful journey of loving, growing, and waiting on God to see His purpose in giving me a heart for His children. 
 

My husband, Phil, found his way to love God's children through Compassion Sponsorship for over 20 years. After we got married, our hearts and prayers turned quickly to God's purpose for our family in adoption. In our 6 years of marriage, we have enjoyed the gift of two biological children and sharing our home with our parents. But when God spoke to our hearts to move forward with adoption pursuit, we acted without hesitation. 

Our journey began quickly after Portugal opened their doors for international adoption with America. As soon as I, Esther, saw our daughter’s profile I knew we were the family she was looking for. Her desire for her family at now 16 years old and dreams of the future matched our hearts exactly. Only God could know the timing necessary to bring her home. Not too early and not too late. We see God's purpose and hand in our future adopted daughters life just as He has guided us in our own. 

We are excited for the day our daughter will come home. And our children pray for it to be soon.
