Bringing our Little Cowboy (or girl!) Home
Kate and Brandon
Prescott Valley, Arizona
We’re Brandon and Kate, and for a long time, becoming parents has been the dream sitting quietly in the background of everything we’ve built together. We’ve created a life we absolutely love in the Arizona high country: our little piece of land, our horses grazing outside, our dogs following us around, and a home that has always felt like it was meant to be filled with more than just the two of us. There’s always been this feeling that someone was missing.
Our road to parenthood has been much harder and much more complicated than we ever imagined. We went through infertility treatments and IVF, including a frozen embryo transfer that we hoped would finally bring us our baby. We experienced the heartbreak of an early pregnancy loss, and after everything we had been through, we had to take a step back and ask ourselves what our family was ultimately supposed to look like.
That’s when adoption started becoming more than an idea. It became something we could genuinely see as our path to becoming parents.
We are now officially approved for private newborn adoption, and this journey has become very real. We are actively being shown expectant mothers and are also actively being presented to expectant mothers who are looking for an adoptive family. Based on what our agency has shared with us about our profile and the current opportunities they are seeing, we are hopeful that our wait may be shorter than we originally anticipated. Of course, adoption is unpredictable and ultimately depends on the right birth mother choosing us, but we are incredibly hopeful that our match could happen quickly.
We don’t know when that phone call will come, and we don’t know exactly who our baby will be yet. But we know that when that day comes, we will be ready. We picture bringing our baby home to Arizona, introducing them to the dogs, watching them grow up around the horses, taking them on adventures, and eventually watching tiny boots run around the same property we’ve dreamed about sharing with our children.
We’re using AdoptionBridge because adoption is an incredible gift, but it also comes with significant expenses. Between our home study, agency and legal fees, placement expenses, travel, and the many unexpected costs that can come with an adoption, the financial side can be overwhelming. We have worked hard to prepare for this journey ourselves, but with the possibility of a match happening sooner than expected, we also want to make sure we are financially prepared to say YES when the right opportunity comes along.
Asking for help is not easy for us. We’re used to working hard, figuring things out, and taking care of things ourselves. But we’ve learned throughout this journey that family isn’t something you build alone. It’s built by the people who show up, encourage you, share your joy, and sometimes help carry you through the harder parts.
So here we are, opening up our story and inviting the people who love us to be part of this next chapter. Whether you donate, share our story, send us encouragement, or simply follow along as we wait, we are incredibly grateful.
Somewhere out there is the little buckaroo or cowgirl we’ve been waiting for. We have the boots, the horses, the home, and more love than we know what to do with. Now we’re just waiting for the missing piece of our family to find their way home. 🤎🌵🐴

Congratulations! We are looking forward to welcoming a new addition to our family and yours. We are so happy for you!!!

It is with great pleasure we share that we were matched already! We truly believe with how amazing this journey has been this is the path we are meant to be on. We matched with wonderful birth parents and have a due date of January 16th. Thank you everyone for all the love and support.
We were presented a mom, said we were interested, and we were informed we were selected to be presented - Fingers crossed she would like to connect with us to potentially match!
