Bringing Home the (NEWEST) Bacon!

For our family, adoption was not an “if” but a “when”:
In May of 2020, Hannah resigned from full-time teaching at an arts academy to become her mother’s full-time caregiver. This was no easy decision, but we sought the Lord and He answered. She began teaching online ESL to Chinese children and part time ministry as a means of income. Two weeks after resigning, Hannah received a positive pregnancy test. We were shocked! How could this be after multiple doctors confirmed this was not how our family would grow?
After Hannah’s mother passed, we knew we needed time to settle in our grief and our new life as a family of three. Henry was our biggest blessing, but we knew adoption was still in our plan.
We began researching different avenues of adoption, but Hannah’s heart had grown for Asia through her online teaching. The people and culture are truly amazing and God put this job in her path four years ago to begin stirring her heart toward international adoption. Kyle began having separate instances of individuals approaching him at work with their own international adoption stories! It was clear that God had a plan and we said YES!
We are so excited to adopt a child from Hong Kong. This is a special needs adoption, and we know that God has made this child fearfully and wonderfully. Kyle was considered special needs with his Type 1 Diabetes, so he understands the discipline needed to parent a child with special needs, as well as the need for parents open to the wonderful opportunity. God has orchestrated this entire process and through Him we will achieve our goal of spreading His love, growing our family, and living in His perfect will and plan.

Bacon Family Puzzle:
We have purchased a 1,000 piece Hong Kong puzzle to display in our future child's bedroom. YOU can be a "piece" of our puzzle by donating to our adoption fundraising mission, and for every ten dollars ($10) donated, a piece will have your name written on it (ex: $50 donation = 5 pieces of our puzzle). We have chosen this fundraising opportunity because we are so excited for our future child to see how many people supported us in piecing together the puzzle of bringing them home!
