Auntie to Mommy: October Journey

Hello and thank you for visiting my page! I have always dreamed of being a mother, but unfortunately I am unable to have biological children. For years, I have poured my love into being the "auntie" or "godmom" to everyone else's kids. Now, an incredible opportunity has arrived for me to finally have a baby of my own.
Through my part-time work at a homeless shelter, I met a wonderful woman who discovered she is pregnant with a baby girl due this October. Recognizing that she cannot care for a newborn right now—especially while living in a shelter and raising her 15-year-old—she asked me if I would adopt her baby girl. Without hesitation, I said yes.
To bring this baby girl home safely from the hospital, we are getting temporary guardianship papers notarized. I will then file for legal guardianship through the courts with the formal intent to adopt. This crucial stepping stone gives me the time I need to complete my mandatory home study, hire an adoption attorney, and pay the necessary court fees.
Because Adoption Bridge is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, every donation made here is 100% tax-deductible and goes directly to my licensed adoption professionals to cover these legal and study fees. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me bring my daughter home!
