As We Await Our Child

Vanessa has known, since the age of 17, that she physically cannot bear children of her own and was diagnosed with infertility. This was shared with Bryan early on in our relationship and he embraced their family future with open arms. We continue to support each other on the days we grieve our loss and can rest in knowing God has plans for us. We have been married 13 years and have known each other a total of 16 years. We lived in Montana until 2017 when God led us to move to Oklahoma to be closer to Bryan’s aging grandparents and extended family.

We waited many years as we discussed the options to expand our family until we thought we were “ready” financially, but with fervent of prayer and much conversation we are moving forward in faith that God will provide what we need financially for us to complete our adoption of a child. God has given us peace about the financial part of our adoption journey as we have given Him that burden and will do what we have to, to stay committed to this journey through finalization of our future child/children. An opportunity to have financial support through crowd funding would mean we are one step closer to completing our family and the peace of mind we have put so much faith and trust in.

We don’t only strive to be a blessing to the child but also to the birth family, growing as a blended family together. We hope to keep that bond between the families through the child’s life with an open adoption, but also want to respect the choice of the birth parent(s). No matter what is decided at the time of the future placement and finalization, the child will know they are loved so much to be given life by their birth mother.
