AdoptionBridge Story

Hello, we’re the Limons! First of all, thank you for taking the time to browse this humble corner of the internet. Here’s a little bit about us:

Who are we?

Gabbie was born in MN, and spent her childhood moving around the Southern and Midwestern United States until 2007 when her family moved to Southern California. She lived there until 2015 when she moved to Riverside to attend California Baptist University. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2018, and is now a teacher at Foothill Christian Preschool. She came to know Jesus at a young age, and was raised in church.

Sam was born in Southern California and was adopted by a wonderful family in the Inland Empire. He came to faith at a young age and was raised in the church. He moved to Riverside for college where he pursued a degree in engineering and now works for Foothill Church in their IT department.

We met in September 2016 when Gabbie joined the California Baptist University Choir and Orchestra, where Sam already played the viola. We started dating in November of the same year, and got engaged in December of 2019. We have been married since May of 2020. When we got married, we moved to San Diego County for nine months, and eventually felt the pull to return to Gabbie’s hometown in Los Angeles, where we still live, and attend Foothill Church.

Why are we Adopting?

When Gabbie was around 5 years old, she was diagnosed with Turner’s Syndrome, which is a leading cause of infertility among women. After much thought and prayer, we have felt the Lord leading us down the path of embryo adoption, and more specifically to Snowflakes, which is a division of Nightlight Christian Adoptions. There are many reasons why we feel this is the right path for us, such as the experience of pregnancy and the security of the legal process, as well as the ability to adopt a larger group of genetic siblings. We are so excited to be taking this next step in our lives together, and can’t wait to see what God has for us on this journey!

I am so happy to support Sam and Gabbie in producing another Lemon for their tree! As Sam's birth grandmother, I am thrilled to see him and his beautiful wife, Gabbie, take these steps to grow their family. Love you both so much!

Dear Sam and Gabbie, thank you for sharing your story. I’ve been blessed with your presence in my life. Here’s a small gift to help towards bringing a precious little lemon to your tree of love and raising in the Lord.

I remember meeting Sam for the first time when he came home from the hospital. :) And Auntie Kelli gave me so much encouragement and love when my husband and I went through our own infertility and adoption journey. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to support you two as you pursue embryo adoption! We went through that process with Nightlight as well (9 years ago). Feel free to reach out if you ever want to talk about the experience with someone who has been there! 😘

Kim Taylor

Praying with you as you follow God’s leading to grow your family in this way!

We are praying and eagerly watching the Lord do great things. "Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them." Ps 127:3-5

So excited to see your little one when he/she comes. ❤️
