Adopting a daughter with Down syndrome!

Hi All! I am a single Mother in the process of adopting a beautiful teenage daughter (15 yo) who has Down syndrome and am the mother to my beautiful biological daughter who is 8 with DS. We are currently in Colombia, 2 weeks into the 5-7 week in country process required by Colombia, so taking this much time off from work (I have an unpaid maternity leave) is difficult financially. I work part time as both girls need a lot of my time and attention. I appreciate any support you can provide! Thank you and God bless!

Hi Carolyn, I've been following your story of adoption through your mother. I wish to commend you for your willingness to adopt a down syndrome child. That's a wonderful thing you're doing and it takes a special person to achieve the amount of success that you are having.
