Dear expectant mother,
While we have never met, know we are praying for you. What a major decision you have ahead of you while looking through all of these family books. We will never fully understand what it’s like to be in your shoes, but we know this must be overwhelming. We pray you will trust your gut and that you will clearly know the right choice for your family. We know you care deeply about your baby and giving him or her the best life you can, and we mourn with you the life circumstances that have led you to making an adoption plan for your baby. We pray that, while this is a big decision to make, you know that the selflessness, love, and effort you are putting into this decision will make a big impact on your child’s life. We pray that your child will come to know that one day and will grow to think about you with respect and honor.
We would love to have an open adoption, just like we have established with our son Henry’s birth family. We always get together annually for Henry’s birthday, which have turned into treasured weekend trips together where Henry can play with his siblings and we all make memories together. We love that Henry (and hopefully our future child) can love his WHOLE family and never have to wonder about who he is, where he comes from, and what his story is! We also know every family is different and may have other expectations or needs, we hope to meet you where you are, whether that involves less openness or more!

We promise that if you choose us to raise your child, we will do all we can to give them love and support as they grow up into the amazing person they are. We promise to always talk about you and your family with the respect and honor you deserve, and we will always encourage your child to do the same as they are navigating and processing their story. We pray that God will give you peace and guidance while reading profiles and making decisions for you and your child. We can’t imagine the pressure making this choice might cause, and we pray you will trust yourself to make this decision and find the right family for your child!
