Domestic Adoption

Dear Expectant Mother,

We know this letter will find you at a time when you have many things on your mind. We hope this letter guides you towards a calmness and peace you may be seeking during this difficult time. You are truly carrying a miracle from God and we hope through Him, you will find the direction you seek; the direction towards a choice for both you and your little miracle. We congratulate you on having the strength and courage during this journey, and want you to know that we would love be a part of your journey if you feel we are the right family for you and your child.

We are Robert and Amy and we are about to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. We both met in 2013 through our local running club, and began dating not long after. Robert proposed in 2015 and we were officially married in May of 2016. We both have a strong faith in God, value the closeness of family, and share a love of being active every day. We enjoy travel, running marathons and half marathons to keep in shape, being outdoors, and cooking at home.

Our faith in God is very important to us. To honor both of our religious backgrounds, we attend services at both Catholic and Methodist churches weekly, and are active members within those church communities. With our common faith in God, we do not believe our differences in religious denominations has a bearing on our relationship with Christ.

We intended to start a family at the onset of our marriage. As we both were in our mid-30’s at that time, we did not waste time trying to begin that process, but we knew there would be challenges for a couple of our age. After almost 4 years of unsuccessful fertility treatments complicated by a blood disorder, and additionally by an endometriosis diagnosis, we decided it was time to look into other ways to start our family and ultimately came to the decision to pursue domestic adoption.

We want nothing more than to share our life with a child. We wish to share all of life’s little moments with a child – our faith, our passion for good health and adventure, and our love. We want to show this child how to be caring and loving, and how to love God, as they are truly a child of God. Together with our two dachshunds Marty and Domino, we look forward to becoming a complete family full of love and appreciation of God’s blessings.

To you with blessings from the Lord,

Robert and Amy
