Dear Expectant Parents,

Truly, this is one of the most difficult decisions you will ever have to make in your life. We want you to know that we recognize this, and that, while we cannot comprehend exactly what you are feeling or experiencing, firsthand, we support you, and whichever decision you decide to make. You are seen. And you are not alone.

We have been married for almost ten years, and we have been a couple for thirteen. We live in a beautiful neighborhood in northeast Georgia with our two golden retrievers, Obie and Finn. The two of us work at the University of Georgia, Heidi in HR at the School of Agriculture, and Chuck coordinating students at the up-and-coming School of Medicine. Heidi is very crafty, and especially loves to crochet, while Chuck is a big ol’ nerd and enjoys playing video games and reading comics. Together, we love watching movies, playing board games, playing with our dogs, and just being goofy! We’re also avid Disney fans, and we try to go to a Disney Park or cruise as often as we can.

Both of us have always longed to be parents, but we learned a few years ago that we would be unable to naturally conceive on our own. After failed infertility treatments and a miscarriage, we spent some time praying and soul searching, at which time we realized how much of a blessing adoption would be as a method for growing our family. Thankfully, we have a strong network of family and friends that readily support this decision, each of them excited to welcome a new member to love and cherish.

Regardless of the choice you make, know that we will provide a loving and supportive home for any child we are blessed to welcome into it. Thank you for your time and consideration, and we wish you all the best.
