Howdy! We are Denver and Christian. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us as you make decisions for your child. We are excited to grow our family through adoption, which holds a special place in our hearts. Christian’s sister was adopted from Guatemala, and Denver’s sister and brother-in-law adopted their oldest son. Adoption is already a part of our family, and we believe our child will have a supportive community.
We met in middle school, where Denver was drawn to Christian’s humor and curly hair, while Christian admired Denver’s eyes and kindness. We share strong values like faith and the importance of family and experiences over material things. After dating through high school and college, we married and continue to prioritize quality time, vacations, and fun.
Denver is a school counselor at a middle school, and Christian is an assistant principal at a junior high/high school. Our careers and schedules allow us to spend a lot of time together, which we’re excited to share with our future children. We live near a state park, where we enjoy visiting. Gardening is one of our favorite hobbies, and we strive to grow most of our food. We also have chickens, and our home is a welcoming place for family and friends.
Our family is close-knit. Denver has two siblings and enjoys running local races with her niece. Christian’s sister, adopted from Guatemala, is an important part of his life. Both our parents live nearby and are thrilled about our adoption journey. We also have a close group of friends from church with young children, and we look forward to sharing those relationships with our future child.
We cherish traditions like visiting a local Christmas tree farm, making holiday cookies, and taking family trips to Arkansas and the beach. As parents, we value quality time, independence, and safety. We will support our child’s growth and learn from their experiences. Our family includes members from diverse backgrounds, and we are committed to embracing our child’s heritage through food, travel, and cultural traditions.
We are open to an open adoption and will foster a positive relationship with birth parents. We will honor our child’s adoption story and heritage, talking about their birth parents with love and respect. We promise to raise our child with compassion, acceptance, and the love they deserve.
