Allen and Kat have dreamed of becoming parents since the day they got married. This August, they will celebrate ten years of marriage—a decade spent building a life rooted in faith, love, and the hope of one day growing their family.

Over the past eight and a half years, they have walked through the challenges of infertility. While that journey has included seasons of waiting, uncertainty, and heartbreak, it has also strengthened their faith, deepened their marriage, and reaffirmed their desire to build a family.

What makes their story unique is that adoption was never a backup plan. Long before they faced infertility, they knew adoption would one day be part of their family's story.

Allen was legally adopted by his grandparents, whose love, guidance, and sacrifice helped shape the man he is today. Their decision to provide a stable and loving home changed the course of his life and gave him a firsthand understanding of the impact adoption can have on a child.

In addition to being adopted by his grandparents, Allen was also blessed with a chosen family who welcomed him as one of their own. Through their love and support, he experienced another beautiful picture of what family can look like. Through them, he also had the opportunity to watch that same family walk through their own adoption journey as they welcomed an adopted daughter into their home. Seeing adoption through the eyes of both a child and an adoptive family gave him a unique perspective on the incredible ways love can build a family.

Because of these experiences, adoption has always been woven into Allen and Kat's story. They simply did not know when God would call them to begin this chapter themselves.

Originally from Louisiana, Allen and Kat now call Oklahoma home. Allen has served in ministry for more than a decade, while Kat works in project management. Prior to that, Kat was an elementary school teacher for 4 1/2 years. Together, they have dedicated much of their lives to serving others, building community, and investing in the people around them.

Today, Allen and Kat are pursuing domestic infant adoption with hopeful hearts and great anticipation for the child who will one day join their family.

Family means everything to them. Some of their favorite memories have happened around a table—sharing meals, celebrating milestones, playing board games, laughing together, and creating meaningful connections. Through their coffee company, PEAK Coffee Collective, they have built a business centered around belonging, community, and the belief that some of life's best moments happen when people gather together. While coffee is not their full-time career, it has become a meaningful way for them to bring people together and support causes close to their hearts.

Their home is filled with faith, laughter, books, plants, coffee, family traditions, and a deep appreciation for the people God has placed in their lives. They look forward to family game nights, bedtime stories, holiday traditions, cheering from the sidelines, camping trips, celebrating milestones, and all the ordinary moments that make a family special.

Because adoption comes with significant expenses, Allen and Kat are using AdoptionBridge as a way for friends, family, and supporters to participate in their journey. They are committed to investing personally in this process and are incredibly grateful for those who choose to walk alongside them through prayer, encouragement, and financial support.

Most of all, Allen and Kat are praying for the child who will one day become part of their family and for the brave expectant parents who are making difficult decisions. They do not know their child's name yet, but they already know that child will be deeply loved, fiercely protected, and welcomed into a home where they belong.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about Allen and Kat's story and for being part of this journey with them. They are filled with hope and anticipation as they wait for the day they finally get to say, "Welcome home."
