Lance Family Adoption
Makayla and Leigh-Garrett
Jasper,
Throughout our time dating and at the beginning of our marriage, we knew we wanted adoption to be a part of our story. When we began building a family, we struggled with infertility, and we knew then that adoption was the way we were going to build our family. As Christians, we believe the Bible teaches us to care for the orphans and the widows. Adoption and foster care jump out to us as two of the best and most beautiful ways to care for them.
We adopted both of our sons, Ethan and Malakai. Their adoption stories are completely different from each other, and yet equally beautiful in displaying God's faithfulness. We know that if God continues to grow our family through adoption, that we will see even more of his faithfulness through it.
We are currently matched with an expectant mom that is due with a baby boy in February. We had the opportunity to talk with her and we connected quickly. One cool thing is that baby boy's race will be Mexican/American and Puerto Rican/Pacific Islander, which is a blend of Ethan and Malakai's races. What a special thing that all three boys can share together.
We are using Adoption Bridge as our main fundraising platform, so that those who desire to support us financially can do so easily and can choose to do it anonymously, if they desire. We are so thankful for any support given to our family, from prayers and encouragement to the finances, that help us build our family.
