Dear Friend,

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and get to know us. We know this letter comes to you in the midst of a tender and courageous season, and we are honored that you would consider us as part of your journey.

One of the deepest desires of our hearts is to be part of God’s work of redeeming individual stories. We have seen Him do this in our own lives, taking the thorns and briars of grief and allowing beauty to bloom and spring up. We trust that He is at work and we pray for you often as you walk through this decision with strength and love.

As a family, we try to make every choice and funnel every decision (how we spend our time, nurture our relationships, use our resources, and live our daily lives) through what we call our funnel words. These are not just words we admire, but actions we strive to live out and pass on to our children, and to their children after them:

• Love: our highest value and the foundation for every decision.

• Stewardship: valuing and caring for what has been gifted and entrusted to us. 

• Wisdom: seeking guidance and delighting in God writing his covenant on our hearts. 

• Peaceable: pursuing harmony and the beauty of working towards God’s restoration. 

• Generosity: sharing and hospitably giving of the gifts that have been entrusted to us.

These actions shape the way we live and the way we hope to care for our family. We don’t take lightly the trust, courage, and thoughtfulness a decision like this takes. As you encounter us on these next pages we pray that you would find clarity and peace in wherever this journey takes you! We would be honored to know you and play a role in your story and the story of this little one.
