Hi! Thank you so much for stopping by our page!

We’re Drew, Bella, and Louie (the canine member of the family). We are joyfully and eagerly preparing to welcome a little boy from Honduras into our family. With our loved ones cheering us on (and our pup ready for a new bed buddy), we can’t wait to bring him home.

We have been together almost 10 years and are college sweethearts. While we could grow our family biologically, adoption has always been something that has popped up in our lives in many ways through family, friends, and travel, and in 2025 we finally decided to pursue it wholeheartedly to start our family. Our faith and spiritual convictions have joyfully affirmed that choice with every step we take, giving us peace and encouragement to keep moving forward.

We are thrilled to be adopting a little boy from Honduras. Bella’s Hispanic heritage, with family roots in Spain and Panama, makes this journey especially meaningful. As a former Spanish teacher, she’s eager to nurture his language and culture at home, while Drew can’t wait to cheer him on in whatever passions he discovers. We want our son to grow up surrounded by love in a community where his identity is celebrated and embraced.

Adoption is beautiful, but also incredibly expensive. As a young couple, we haven’t had decades to build wealth, and international adoption costs can be daunting. We are committed to covering as much as possible responsibly, without leaning on financial loans, which is why crowdfunding is such an important part of our journey.

Outside of adoption, our lives are full of family and fun. We love traveling, attending sports games, hosting book clubs with our friends, getting together with family whether locally in Chicago or abroad, and taking long walks with our dog (who is already campaigning to be our son’s BFF). Our extended families are anxiously and joyfully waiting to welcome him home: grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles are ready with open arms, and our dog is ready with sloppy kisses.

Finally, if you’ve found your way to our page but aren’t able to give financially, please know that your prayers mean more than any dollar amount. We really mean that. Somewhere out there, our son may already be learning to walk, discovering the world as a curious toddler, or just now being born. Your prayers for his health, safety, and wellbeing are priceless gifts to us.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story. We are humbled by your support, whether through donations, encouragement, or prayer.

With gratitude and hope,

Drew, Bella and Louie

  1. We started this adoption process with Nightlight Christian Adoptions back in August 2025. We are excited to update our family and friends that our home study report is days from being completed, which means we can send our applications to USCIS early in the New Year!

Whenever USCIS approves us to adopt internationally (anywhere between 1-3 months), we’ll be able to finish our remaining paperwork (called our dossier) and send everything to Honduras to formally apply to be matched with a child. This means we’re getting closer to having all of our paperwork completed!

We also wanted to ask for prayers for Honduras, as they recently had national elections. Since adoptions there are overseen by the government, we’re praying for a smooth transition and minimal impact on the adoption process if there are any changes. Thank you so much for your continued support, prayers, and encouragement…we’re so grateful to have you walking alongside us in this journey.
