King’s Adoption Journey
Robert and Teresa
San antonio, TX
We have been foster parents for the past two years, and the experience has forever changed our lives. Opening our home to children in need has not only deepened our love for family but has also drawn us closer to Jesus in ways we never imagined. Each child who has entered our lives has reminded us of God’s faithfulness and His heart for orphans and vulnerable children. Through fostering, we’ve seen how love, stability, and faith can bring healing, and it has stirred a calling within us to continue saying “yes” to God’s plan for our family.
Within this past year, God has placed a strong calling on our hearts for international adoption. After much prayer, we felt led specifically to the Dominican Republic, and we are faithfully stepping forward in obedience to that call. We know this path will be both beautiful and challenging, but we also know that God equips those He calls. Adoption is not just about growing our family—it is about reflecting the love of Christ and providing a forever home where a child can flourish.
We, Teresa and Robert, have been married for five years and are excited to continue building a big, beautiful life together. Teresa works as a Social Media Manager while also pursuing her Masters in Strategic Communication, and Robert works as a Recruiter while also pursuing his Master’s degree to become a Marriage and Family Therapist. We believe our unique experiences, both personal and professional, will help us nurture and guide the child God places in our care.
We are grateful for AdoptionBridge as a way to share our story and invite others to walk alongside us. Adoption is not something we can do alone—it takes a community of prayer, encouragement, and support. By partnering with us, you are not just helping us bring our child home, but also becoming part of their story of hope, redemption, and love.
