We're Matt and Amy. We have one son, Benjiro "Benji," who is now three years old. His name means "lover of peace," and we chose this name to honor Matt's Japanese heritage.
We've always been passionate about adoption and the possibility of growing our family through opening our home this way. We planned on pursing adoption after having a few biological kids. However, we lost our daughter, Sylvia, in 2024. With this in mind, we decided this may be the time and the push we needed to adopt now.
One of our family verses is from Micah 6:8: "He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?" Our hope is to follow this verse in opening our home and our hearts in growing our family through adoption.
