As you read this, we hope you will get to know us and let God speak to your heart. We met in March 2016 in a then, quiet, charming, southern TN town: Nathan and Chelsea Elsey. Only God has the sense of humor to bring us together and have names that rhyme.
We have been on the journey to start a family for the past 5 years. Nathan was adopted at 6 months old from South Korea and is an only child. Chelsea has an older sister and grew up in Louisiana and Colorado. We've been foster parents and in that time we loved and continue to love the children we cared for.
Along this path we have struggled with infertility. We have always wanted to adopt and God has revealed to us that this is the season for that. Different seasons have left beautiful and lasting impressions upon our hearts. From fostering, to helping with the kids ministry at church.
We have 2 furry loving cats; Illya and Persephone. They were rescued from the animal shelter and we love them each like we would a child.
God is the heart of our life. We will impart His love to any child whom He decides to place in our lives. Each of us has our hobbies; baking, cross stitching, reading, LEGOs, serving others. At our place though we are two people who enjoy family, church, video games, anime, movie nights, and comic-cons. Our trust is in God to lead us in the next season of our walk.
