My husband, Jesus and I have been together for almost 30 years and have two wonderful children. Our daughter is 28 years old and expecting her first child, and we are ecstatic about becoming grandparents. Our son is 19 years old and will be moving away to college this fall. After years of raising our children and seeing them off to college and into their own bright futures, we thought we were done. However, destiny had other plans for us.

In August 2022, I suddenly lost one of my brothers to unexpected health complications. My brother lived in Mexico and was raising his 9-year-old son as a single father. However, this was not by choice as his girlfriend and son’s mother died of cancer when their son was only 5 years old. Within his first few years of life, my nephew lost both of his parents and was left almost alone in this world. The last time I spoke with my brother at the hospital he feared passing away and leaving his son without the last parent he had to love and care for him. I made a promise to my brother to take care of his son since he has no other family in Mexico. My husband and I have started the adoption process and want to give my nephew the chance at a loving family.

We are asking for your support to help us with this adoption process. Your donation will make a huge difference in my nephew’s future. You will be a part of making sure he is not left alone and can continue enjoying life as any child should. My husband and I thank you for your support and will be forever grateful.
