My name is Diana Fey and my husband is Michael. We have been married for 8 years during which time we've been through the challenge and disappointment of infertility, something that we never anticipated when we were first married. We’ve often discussed pursuing various types of adoption as an option to add to our family, and are working towards embryo adoption!
Through our own failed IVF we’ve learned that sometimes families are left with more embryos after they have completed their family. IVF requires electing an option to destroy, donate to science or donate for embryo adoption. We have learned that there are thousands of babies waiting to be born, and this immediately resonated with Michael and I; the thousands of little lives waiting for parents. This form of adoption allows for Michael and I to share the excitement, anticipation, and bond of pregnancy and grow our family and allow control of prenatal care. We couldn’t be more reserved, but also excited to finally share this news.
Our journey with infertility and adoption has been challenging in spirit as well as its financial burden. Anything contributed through Adoption Bridge will go to Nightlight to cover costs associated with this process, and we appreciate your time, prayers and love.
We are so excited to move forward with starting our family and extremely grateful to our friends, family and strangers that can give us a nudge towards a dream of becoming parents.
