Hi there! We're the Hattebergs and can we tell you how EXCITED we are you are here?!
Even before we both met way back in 2010 in good ole’ Waco, TX, we knew individually adoption was something that was on our radar. With adoption on both sides of our family, I think it was always something we envisioned ourselves doing in the future. We can still recall early conversations around coffee at Common Grounds sharing our heart for other cultures and children in need of a home.
SO after our two girls Everlee (4.5) + Colette (2) were born, as we began thinking about growing our family, we had a growing leading to not go the biological route this time around. Instead, we felt very strongly in giving a child a forever home that really needed it. We find such beauty in diversity (expected challenges and new conversations to come, absolutely) and as we discussed it more, we felt a growing confidence that this is what the Lord had next for a family. As well, in our education and learning thus far our heart for birth mothers and walking alongside a woman in this impossibly brave and difficult time also swelled.
Life with us looks pretty crazy most of the time, but we like it that way 🙂 Waiting eagerly and nervously and excitedly for this baby and expectant mama to join our family and hopefully us in theirs. Deeply grateful for your support, THANK YOU THANK YOU.
