To Our Expectant Parent,
We are humbled by your courage and strength in taking this difficult step to choose adoption for your baby. We also know that you are brave and a strong woman. Knowing that you have chosen a life where your baby will be the biggest blessing and is cherished every day.
We are William & Jennifer. We met in 1999 at a New Year’s Eve gathering. As we dated and got to know each other, we knew this was true love. We went to Hawaii in 2000 and Will proposed on the beach in Waikiki. We got married September 14, 2002. This year will be our 19th anniversary! Our wedding was at the First United Methodist Church and our reception was at the casino ballroom.
We have no children, with that being said we have wanted a family to love and grow together since we said I love you to each other, but God didn’t give us that playing card. We did try IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) 3 times with no luck.
We are very lucky to have 15 nieces and nephews from the age of infant to adult. We love Auntie and Uncle weekends, camping trips and day trips with them all.
We have owned our own home for 19 years. Our town has a population of approximately 8,500. Both Jennifer and William work for local government agencies in neighboring towns. Jennifer has been at her agency for 16 years and works in the Public Works Department. William has been at his agency for 14 years in the Street Department.
Our community is amazing! We love all the activities the city and our Chamber of Commerce host. There are many summer camps, track meets, movie nights in the park, parades, fireworks, and concerts in the park. We live in a two story house with a fence backyard. The oldest city park is across the street. This park has tennis courts, basketball courts, a playground, waterpark, baseball field, and a dirt track to ride bikes or race remote control cars and the Senior Center. The library is within walking distance.
We have a large extended family. Will has 10 siblings and I have one sibling. Our parents and siblings have never been divorced. We also have a lot of close friends that we consider family. The kids call us auntie and uncle. Everyone has been amazing and supportive in our adoption journey.
We plan to take time off with the baby. Jennifer will take 4 to 5 months off, with Will also taking first 6 weeks off. When Jennifer goes back to work, Will is going to take a month off to stay at home with baby. After Will goes back to work, Jennifer’s parents will watch the baby.
We are members of the First United Methodist Church. We LOVE to go camping, fishing, hiking, and daytrips and travel around the state. Will loves to go to the sand dunes and ride his 4 wheeler. We love anything having to do with outdoors. We also enjoy watching and going to NFL football games.
Our desire is to raise our child, surrounded by love, grace, adventure and fun. We would be honored to LOVE and raise your child in our home and hearts.
