Hello,
This is an incredibly unique letter to write because we have not met you, but we are so hopeful for the possibility of meeting you and getting to form a relationship with you. We want to be an encouragement to you in whatever way we can. We are so encouraged that you are considering adoption as an option for you and your baby, and we pray that you receive the support you need to make the best decision for your child. We wish we were already your friends so that we could be there for you while you process all of this, bring you meals, and just give you a hug.
In our eleven years of marriage, we have always desired to have children and we left that up to God's timing. The doctors told us that it was very unlikely that we would be able to conceive a baby. We have always wanted to pursue adoption, and we took the doctor's news as God's direction to begin that journey now rather than later. We adopted our first child, Zoey, in October of 2019 and she has been such a blessing to us and to our friends and family. We absolutely love being parents.
We are blessed to live in Southern California where we live just a couple of hours’ drive from the beach, mountains and desert. We have lived in our home for ten years now and we enjoy our comfortable house. We are blessed to live in a diverse community, and we enjoy the diversity of our church family. We are excited to explore a new culture and (if applicable) a new language if we adopt a child from a different ethnic background than ours. The values that are most important in our family are love, kindness, patience, and humility. We enjoy teaching Zoey how to love others and put others first. We are looking forward to continuing to teach Zoey how to love others and teaching the next child who joins our family those same values. Being parents has brought us so much joy and we want to share that joy with another child. We love being together as a family and adding another child will just add to that love and joy that we already have in our family.
Being parents is one of the biggest blessings of our lives. We are so thankful to have our daughter because of the choices that her birth mom made. We can't imagine loving Zoey any more than we do had she been born into our family biologically and we trust that it will be no different as we welcome another baby into our family.
