Dear Birth Mother,
We want to start this letter by saying how much we respect you and are so thankful for all birth moms in this process. We can't imagine what you're going through right now, and all of the emotions you're feeling, but we are thankful that we get the chance to meet you through this letter and book.
We have so much love in our hearts for you although we've never met. At the end of the day, we hope to honor and serve our birth mom throughout this process and in the future by cherishing and loving a child through adoption. We also want you to know that we will work to honor the child’s ethnicity.
A little about us, we met in college and have been together ever since - nine years total (five years married, a lifetime to go). We don't have any children yet, but want a big family in the future! We are so excited to start our family through adoption.
To give you an idea of some things we love to do as a family, we love traveling, hiking, camping, playing with our two dogs, and cooking together as a family, just to name a few things! We are a very active family and love spending time outdoors.
We have chosen to pursue the path of adoption because we believe every person is made in the image of God and is so precious and valuable. We also believe that we have been adopted as sons and daughters of God, and want our family to reflect that truth. We believe that adoption is a way for us to live out God's love in a tangible way, and we are so excited about it! He's already taught us so much through this process! Adoption has always been our first choice. We do not struggle with infertility, but have always known we wanted to grow our family through adoption.
We both have large extended families who are so excited to be on this journey with us! Some of them have even fostered or adopted themselves. We are so thankful to have the support of our family and friends as we start this process!
