Nolan & Megan (#1104200)

 Hello! 

We hope you are well today. We are Nolan, Megan, Elias and Aaliyah. We know that if you’re reading this that you must be facing an incredibly difficult situation. We really hope and pray that God will be with you through this time and that you and your little one are able to find whatever will be best for y'all. It is such an honor to work with Nightlight as they support you on your way and an even bigger honor to be considered as a possible family for your little one if you decide to choose adoption. 

We are in our 30’s and have been married happily for 10+ years. Elias is our boy and is 8 years old and Aaliyah is our 4 year old daughter. We have cats and a dog too. We have seen God’s work in these hard types of things as our daughter Aaliyah came to us through a surprise adoption at a time when we had been fostering! We no longer foster but each of us have multiple biological and adopted siblings. We both come from quite large, diverse, and super supportive families as well! We live in a nice safe neighborhood where we know all of the neighbors and all our kids play together. We always have an extra neighbor kid or 2 hanging out at our house! Megan works as a pediatric Registered Nurse and keeps a flexible schedule so she can stay home for some time if we bring a baby home until they’re old enough for preschool at least. Nolan is a police officer in a very nice city. We love traveling, camping, hiking, hockey, and family movie nights.

We have been called to adopt by both our faith and our experiences. We both grew up in church AND both had parents who fostered. We were both very inspired by our parents’ examples and have nearly a lifetime of experience of the dynamics involved in adoption. Our original plan was to be a waiting family for a child who needs us! Megan ended up having some challenges with her pregnancy and shortly following her pregnancy of our first child which just inspired us to go ahead and become that waiting family. We are all about family life over here and ready to slow life down again to fill our days (and nights!) with nurturing another little soul. We are anxious and excited to welcome the next little into our loving home!
