Hello, we are Nolan and Gretchen; we know this is an unpredictable time for you as you are faced with making some very difficult decisions for you and your unborn child. We understand unpredictable. We planned to add children to our family three years ago and we are still patiently waiting for our journey to begin. As we both know, some things in life just simply are not planned, but we have learned it is our reaction to the unplanned that can bring peace, hope, and joy.
Adoption has always been a part of Nolan’s life, as his mother is adopted. In our early married years, we considered adoption as an option for us, but did not realize at the time it would end up being our only option. We have been through fertility treatments for the past two years and have been unsuccessful. But, we are full of hope that our child will come through adoption and we will meet the birthmother and child God has planned specifically for our family.
Nolan and I have been married for seven years. Neither one of us had been married previously, so we knew we wanted to enjoy our newly married life together before considering children. We truly love being married and are the best of friends. We enjoy sitting on our porch listening to music, watching sports, traveling, cooking, reading and spending time with our family and friends. We have strong relationships with our families and friends. We see our family members regularly, either at church or visiting at our family camp in Mississippi. We have two nephews, one niece, and tons of cousins. We also love to socialize with our friends and their families, almost all of our friends have children. Our lives are very full, but we are so excited to introduce a child to all of the things we like to do and the people that we love!
We live in Southern Louisiana. We live in a beautiful neighborhood and in the home my grandparents raised by mom and her sister. We are both small business owners. Nolan owns a personal training and wellness studio and I am the owner and dentist in a general dentistry practice. We both are passionate about helping others reach their health goals and just love interacting with our clients and patients. Nolan also serves on the board of a local Christian pregnancy crisis center. The center’s primary goal is to counsel pregnant women in hopes of them choosing life for their unborn child and to guide them through their unplanned pregnancy.
We would love the opportunity to talk with you or meet you, if that is what you desire. We are willing to maintain an ongoing and lasting relationship with you, even after your child is born. We know that this is an uncertain time for you. We will be praying for you and your child and wish you the best, whatever you decide.
