Dear sweet expectant parent, Our names are Bill and Katherine. We know you have a difficult decision ahead of you and we respect you for whatever decision you make. This message is especially written to you with great love and care in our hearts. We want you to get to know us in such a way that you feel a sense of connection, trust and peace about who we are. Family is so important to us and we have longed to welcome children into our lives. Through a heartbreaking five year journey with infertility, we now know that God is calling us to build our family through adoption. We believe children are a blessing and we can't wait to one day welcome a precious little one into our home and into our hearts. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for getting to know us a little bit better! We like to think of ourselves as the perfect combination of fun-loving, easygoing, warm and dependable. We are two peas in a pod, best friends, who just enjoy being together. We both enjoy our jobs, but we really look forward to coming home to each other every day. When we met, we instantly connected because of our shared sense of humor, our love of family and commitment to faith. Even though the first part of our relationship was long distance, while Bill was on active duty with the US Army, we talked on the phone multiple times a day and made long drives on the weekends to spend time together. We were married in 2018 with our closest friends and family celebrating by our sides. Since then, hand in hand, we have create a welcoming and nurturing home where loved ones can gather. We are passionate about connecting with others in our community through work, church membership, hosting a monthly supper club and getting involved with local events. We have found so much joy in building a life together. Katherine is loyal, creative and kind-hearted. She has many friends and is wonderful at making each person she comes in contact with feel important. Katherine enjoys socializing and making connections with people.Katherine is a speech language pathologist at one of our local elementary schools. She is passionate about helping children learn to communicate and giving them a voice. Katherine is involved in our church and is on our Greeter Team. She is also part of a women's Thursday night Bible study group. After work, Katherine likes to take walks with people she loves, do a Zumba class or ride her Peloton and relax while watching the Great British Baking Show. When getting creative, Katherine likes to use her home decorating skills or do some watercolor painting. Bill is the definition of a "good man." He is hard-working and enjoys providing for his family. He often goes out of his way to care for and serve others through the use of his handy man and mechanic skills. He has a great sense of humor and lives to make Katherine laugh, sending her silly memes and telling awesome "dad-jokes." "Mr. Bill" is beloved by the children belonging to friends and family, often getting hugs and high-fives from them. He is know as the "fun uncle" who is willing to take his nephews and nieces fishing, dig in the dirt or bring them a "treat." Bill has the heart of a caring protector, offering to serve on his church "Safety Team" and serving his country in the US Army through active duty and reserves. Bill is currently an estimator for a construction company that builds and maintains utilities. Bill enjoys the family feel to his company; everyone looks out for each other. Bill is known at work for being trustworthy and dependable. When it comes to getting a job done, he gets it done with integrity. And he's got a pretty nice beard too!
