Dear Expectant Mother,
As we write this letter and reflect on what the gift of adoption means to our family, we are overwhelmed with many emotions- fear, excitement, love and joy. We cannot begin to imagine the emotions you are feeling and how difficult this decision may be for you. We admire the love you have for the child growing inside of you and the extraordinary strength and courage you possess. Please know that we have the utmost respect for you and the decision that you make.
Let us introduce ourselves, we are Kory and Ella. Thank you for taking time to get to know us. Our love story began sixteen years ago in high school. We met at Wal-Mart where we both held our first jobs. We have been married for 10 years now. After trying for three years to conceive a child we remained unsuccessful. At that point we were faced with a decision-to pursue IVF or adoption. After much thought and prayer, God confirmed it was in His plan for us to adopt. We received one of our greatest blessings through the gift of adoption, our now three-year-old daughter Everly Joy. She is sweet, sassy and full of personality and we know she will be a great big sister.
Ella works part time at a local hospital as a Registered Nurse in the newborn nursery. Kory works as a Journeyman Electrician in the construction field. Ella is the primary caregiver of our daughter and looks forward to sharing this time with a second child. Ella's mother, Terri, will keep both children on days when we both work. We live in a beautiful one-story home with three bedrooms. We have a room chosen to be the babies’ nursery. Our neighborhood is quiet, safe, and kid friendly. There is a county park with a playground located a few minutes from our home.
We are blessed to have a supportive network of family, friends and church family nearby. We are fortunate that most of our immediate family lives within 10 minutes of our home. We enjoy spending free time and holidays with our family and we cherish these moments. The holidays are filled with lots of fun times spent with family. We eat together, bake goodies, and make a lifetime of memories! We enjoy spending time with our closest friends and church family. Our church is a nondenominational church that strives to reach people and teach about Christ. Our relationship with God is one that we hold in high priority and at the center of our relationship.
We are a fun loving and adventurous family! We love nature, traveling and exploring new places. We often go hiking and camping in the summer and we love to travel abroad, relax on the beaches of Florida, or in the beautiful mountains of Tennessee. We plan on traveling even as our family grows. Life is short and God has many beautiful creations for us to enjoy. We wholeheartedly believe that God has the perfect child chosen for our family and we are so eager to meet them. We cannot wait to become parents for a second time through the miracle of adoption. We have a beautiful relationship with Everly’s birthmother. If you are comfortable with it, we’d love to meet you in person and develop and maintain a relationship with you. No matter what you decide, though, please know we will always talk to your child about you with respect and love. You and your child will be in our thoughts and prayers. We pray that God gives you peace in whatever decision you make.
