My husband Jorge and I, have been together for 20 years, married 15 years. We got married in November of 2006. We met when I was still in college; Jorge has just recently graduated from college with a degree in Mathematics. His first job after graduating was as a math tutor for engineering students at the college. I was one of those engineering students. We became friends and with time our relationship would grow and flourish.
We both come from humble families. I was born and raised in Florida, my mother is from Costa Rica and my father is from Chile. Jorge was born in Nicaragua but came to Florida at the age of 1 with his parents and older brother.
Jorge and I live a simple yet fulfilled lives. We both are hard workers but in our free time we love to travel and explore new places. We truly enjoy each other’s company. We have had our ups and downs throughout our marriage. One of them was when I got pregnant but lost her when I was 5 months pregnant. Yes, it was very dark and difficult, but our faith was stronger, and we chose to trust the Lord’s plan. As we have continued to pray, the Lord has put in our hearts to growing our family through adoption. We have chosen to follow what is in our hearts.
